Visa

Money
There is no limit to the amount of foreign currency that visitors can bring. But the money should only be changed at authorized centers. One can also receive money from abroad through authorized money exchange centers.

Means of travelling
Kerala is well connected by air, rail and road. It has three international airports in Trivandrum, Kozhikode and Cochin. Within kerala the places are well connected by road and rail. Certain places like Wynnad, Munnar and Thekkady are not connected by rail but there are accessible through well connected roads.
Travel wear
Kerala has a warm tropical climate. Cotton outfits, hats, Sunglasses, sun screen lotion, mosquito repellants are a must have for tourists. Since the hill stations can sometimes get cold it is advisable for the tourist to carry warm clothes too.

Street shopping in the major tourist place can be enjoyable but remember that most places over price their wares’, so bargaining is essential.
Place of Worship
Kerala is full of historic temples and churches which one can visit. But there are certain codes to be followed. In temples taking off one’s shoes is compulsory. There are certain temples that do not allow entry of non- Hindus. One should find out the dress to be worn to the temple. Men generally have to wear the traditional mundu and the women have to wear sarees or half sarees or long skirts with blouse. (These outfits are available outside the temples for hire and there are churches where one has to take off one’s foot ware.
Nudity
The people in kerala are sensitive about morality. Nudity is not allowed at any of the beaches.
Wild life Sanctuaries
To visit a wildlife sanctuary, prior permission has to be taken from the concerned authority of the sanctuary.
